Tulum

Xibalba dive center is located on the Yucatan peninsula on the caribbean coast of Mexico. The dive center is right at the beginning of the little town of Tulum, which is only 120km south of the world famous city and airport of Cancun.

Tulum is located on top of the greatest water filled underground river systems of the world, with several 100km of explored caves, and an incredible number of caves and caverns are yet to be found. These cave systems are unique; there are literally no other systems as easily accessible, and as beautifully decorated in any other part of the world.

Tulum has the only mayan ruins located on the white and sandy Carribean beach, a fantastic historical place with an unforgettable view of the ocean. The beach is easily accessible and you can walk for hours and relax under the palm trees or at one of the a nice beach bars for a local drink.

In your spare time you can join a snorkel trip to the reef or the cenotes, spend time on a tour to the Sian Kaán biosphere reserve, visit the dry caves of Aktun Chen or go into the ecological parks of Xel Ha or Xcaret.

There is a range of accommodation available on the beach and in town to suit all budgets from basic economical wooden cabins with shared bathrooms to nice ecological cabins or luxury hotels with air conditioning, 24h electricity and private bathrooms.
