To go for a discover scuba dive , you need: To be at least 14 years old To be in good health and reasonably fit back to top   Open water diver (OWD) back to top This is the first open water certification by PADI . with this certification you are able to dive in the open water areas ( guided or alone) in the ocean, lakes or rivers , or also in the cavern zone ( but there only guided!!!). Once certified you do not need to renew or extend the certification , it is for life!!! Emergency situations , basics are trained along with complex cave navigation and decodiving techniques. Complex navigation includes turns into side tunnels( jumps and gaps), crossing different guide line systems ( T´s and Y´s) and diving in a circular route, Optional exercises are : diving in long penetrations , diving through restrictions and „silt out“ situations ( complete blindness).
