XIBALBA DIVE CENTER

For the mayan people "XIBALBA" is the underworld and is a magical and mysterious place where the gods live that can only be entered through the Cenotes. In August 2004 Robbie and Aneke Schmittner opened up the dive-base Xibalba Dive Center.

The shop is located in a little village named Tulum, 120km south of Cancun, on the carribean coast on the Yucatan Peninsula, where you can find an incredible amount of wonderfully decorated underwater-cave-systems, with the bset diving conditions in the world. A couple of minutes drive from the shop is the possibility to dive many different sites caverns, caves, and reef, where we train you in all kinds of courses by PADI and technical dive courses by NACD, IANTD, NSSCDS.

For us your safety and enjoyment is the highest priority, so we offer you only new and the most modern scuba equipment, guides with a lot of experience in cavern and cave diving in this area, and an international team that speak several languages including English, Spanish, German, Scandinavian and French.

In the shop we rent out and sell dive equipment (for both recreational and cave diving), different kinds of shirts, maps and books of the cenotes and you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee in our garden area and share your new and wonderful experiences with us.
